Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) In Your Library Account

You are now required to enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) when you access your library account . This extra layer of security is to better protect your personal information.

The first time that you log in to your account, enter your PIN and click submit. You will then be prompted to verify your PIN number.

  • We recommend that you use your StarPort password as your PIN.
  • PINs can be any combination of letters and numbers, up to 30 characters.
  • You may not use repetitive sequences such as 123 or abc.
  • PINs are case sensitive.
  • You may change your PIN after you log in to your library account.

    Forgot your PIN?

If you forget your PIN, you may contact the Library in person or by phone to have your PIN reset. Library staff will request identity verification information from your existing library record before resetting your PIN.

Contact the Checkout Desk (517) 483-1626 or the Multimedia Desk (517) 483-1654 located in the Library on the second floor of the Technology and Learning Center building (TLC).
